Perfection! I absolutely love this place! I am extremely picky when it comes to Mexican food and i'd like to think i'm an expert because, well....I'M MEXICAN! My mom had me spoiled with her godly cooking techniques, but this place makes me feel right at home when I need that taste of home.
SERVICE: WARM, INVITING, AND SEXY! The people at Rocking Horse Cafe are like my extended familia. Everyone is gorgeous, attentive to guests, and proud of their food! I absolutely love Alfonso, Sean, & Jasmine!
FOOD: Bursting with flavor! Every bite is literally like a fiesta in your mouth! Most Mexican food i've tried in the city was bland and boring. Rocking Horse Cafe is quite the opposite. The complex combination of spices that Chef puts together is amazing and the twist to traditional Mexican food will leave you wanting more! I recommend: Quesadilla de hongo, any ensalada, frozen margarita WITH salt, & the tres leches. BUEN PROVECHO!

Superb every time. Rocking Horse never fails to deliver consistently vibrant dishes with the freshest of ingredients. The atmosphere is always bustling, and on this visit, missed the senora making the fresh tortillas.
Margaritas come in a variety of unique fresh flavors - a welcome treat on a sunny afternoon. The roasted peppers make their house made salsa completely addictive. The lamb was cooked to perfection, with a well balanced mexican flavor. The staff was warm and attentive and our drinks and dishes came expediently. We contentedly polishing off the evening with the warm spiced chocolate cake with cinnamon ice cream. I highly recommend this mainstay in the heart of chelsea.

Best place in chelsea!! The moment you walk in the door, the generous vibe of hospitality knocks you over. Good thing there are bar stools right there to catch you and a gracious bartender to revive you with a frozen concoction.
The food is amazing, best guacamole ever! The chef is always bringing new specials to life and the flavors all are as fresh as can be. Chelsea is lucky to have this landmark and NYC is a better place because of the Rocking Horse!!
